Privacy Policy
This page explains how AHH, JAPAN currently handles information, and how this policy will change as the site grows.
Current state
AHH, JAPAN is a simple, static website. We do not operate any contact form or newsletter sign-up, and we do not run advertising cookies or remarketing scripts. We do use Google Analytics (GA4) on an opt-in basis, described below.
Our hosting and infrastructure providers may also automatically process limited technical information — such as IP address, browser type, and access timestamps — as part of delivering this site securely and reliably (for example, for performance, security, and troubleshooting purposes). This is standard for most websites and is handled by those providers, not by AHH, JAPAN directly.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
You can browse AHH, JAPAN in full without making any analytics choice. Google Analytics is not loaded, and no data is sent to Google, until you actively choose "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you choose "Reject," or make no choice at all, Google Analytics stays off and no analytics data is sent.
If you accept, we use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use this site — for example, which pages are read, and how people arrive here (including from Pinterest, via UTM parameters in the link). This helps us improve the content and structure of the site. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising: Google Signals and ad-personalization signals are turned off in our configuration, and we do not enable any advertising or remarketing features.
When active, Google Analytics may set cookies and send data such as pages viewed, general usage events, and approximate technical information (such as browser and device type) to Google. We do not intentionally send personal information such as your name, email address, or the contents of any form to Google Analytics. You can change your choice at any time using the "Privacy settings" link in the footer of this site. If you switch from "Accept" to "Reject," we stop sending further analytics data and make a best-effort attempt to remove Google Analytics cookies from this browser (some cookies, such as those already set by Google outside our control, may not be fully removable by this site).
This description explains, in plain terms, the technical design of our analytics setup. It is not a legal opinion, and it does not by itself guarantee compliance with any specific law or regulation (such as GDPR). If you have questions about how this affects you, pleasecontact us.
The operator of AHH, JAPAN uses the Pinterest API to publish some of this site's own articles as Pins on the operator's own Pinterest account, with each Pin linking back to the matching page here. This is a first-party use: we do not send personal information about site visitors to Pinterest through the API, and we do not access or store data belonging to any other Pinterest user.
Access is authorised with an OAuth token for the operator's own Pinterest account. That token is kept privately by the operator, is not shared, and is used only to call the Pinterest API. Pinterest's own handling of any data is governed by thePinterest Privacy Policy.
Affiliate links
Some articles contain affiliate links. Following one takes you to a partner's own website, and that partner may set its own cookies to record that you arrived from here. We do not receive personal information about you from those partners — only aggregate reports of how many bookings resulted. Which programs we use, and the rules we hold ourselves to, are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Future updates
As AHH, JAPAN grows, we may introduce further features such as a contact form or a newsletter. If we do, we will update this Privacy Policy to clearly describe what is collected, why, and how it is used, before those features go live.

Some pages on this site may link to external websites, including retailers or other resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites, and we encourage you to review their own policies.
